We are growing quickly and looking for a lead copywriter to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the voice of Seashell to our users across all platforms, including product, website, social media, and company blog. You’ll be a key strategic partner to our marketing team and your work will inspire customer engagement with our channels at all stages of the customer journey. This is an exciting opportunity to use your craft to drive impact and growth at a fast-growing startup.

What you'll do:

  • Define our brand voice and copy best practices that empower the team to deliver a unified and compelling story across touch points.
  • Be the voice of Seashell to our users by building a deep understanding of our product and brand.
  • Become the source of truth for copy guidance and strategy for both product and marketing.
  • Own copy across marketing touchpoints i.e. blog, press releases, social media, and online campaigns.
  • Flex from writer to editor as you collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop result-driven messaging across marketing and product.
  • Leverage research, insights, and trends to influence copy decisions.
  • Uphold excellent standards of brand clarity and authenticity.
  • Partner with the marketing team on upcoming campaigns, with the goal of creating original, breakthrough work.
  • Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience.

About you:

  • 6+ years of experience as a copywriter for a consumer audience, at an agency or an in-house creative team.
  • Portfolio of work that includes a range in mediums e.g.. campaigns, social media, articles etc.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams, including but not limited to Marketing, Design, Legal, and external partners to craft strategy and execute efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • A self-starter who thrives who is able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a given time.

Bonus points:

  • Experience working in a technology startup.
  • Experience with SEO.
  • An experienced understanding of the writing nuances between B2B and B2C marketing.
  • Domain knowledge in financial markets or blockchain technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, creative writing, journalism, communications, or related subject.
